Portable aluminum gantries for lighter lifting applications. Small-crew setup with standard tools, easy transport between jobsites.
Gantry Cranes · Portable Aluminum · 1,100 to 22,000 lb
1,100 to 22,000 lb.
Built for North America.
eme builds portable gantry cranes in six capacities, from a half-ton shop gantry crane to a 10 ton unit, all in 6061-T6 aluminum — lightweight enough to deploy fast, strong enough for industrial lifting, and engineered for North American jobsites. eme gantries — also called mobile gantry cranes or A-frame gantry cranes — roll while fully loaded, assemble from the ground up with a small crew and standard tools, and use interchangeable beams and trolleys within defined product ranges.
A Complete Lifting System.
What ships with every eme gantry crane. Just add a hoist.
Everything below is included in every published price, starting from $3,956 USD.
- Two A-frame legsThe engineer-stamped leg set that carries the rating.
- Top beamAluminum box beam, rated to the capacity class.
- Beam trolleyMatched to the beam profile. Included, not an add-on.
- Master link lifting pointOn the trolley, ready for your hoist hook.
- Four locking castersEach one locks both swivel and roll.
- Assembly hardwareTwo bolts per side hold the beam in the legs.
- Engineer-stamped drawingFor the configuration you order.
- Certificate of TestLoad-tested to 125% of rated capacity before shipment.
Not included: the hoist. The crane takes any top-hook suspension hoist. Freight is quoted to your delivery address.
- ASME B30.17 Cranes and Monorails
- CSA B167 Overhead Travelling Cranes
- Aluminum Design Manual (ADM) US aluminum structural design
- CSA S157 Strength Design in Aluminum
From 1/2 Ton to 10 Ton — Pick Your Class
Start with the load you need to lift, then choose the lift height and beam length for the jobsite.
Lightweight Aluminum.
Easier handling at every capacity from 1,100 to 22,000 lb.
Designed for Ground-Up Assembly.
Most eme gantries can be assembled by a small crew using standard tools. For taller or higher-capacity configurations, crews can use a forklift or standard facility equipment to speed setup and reduce handling effort.
Rolls While Fully Loaded.
Reposition with the load on — no need to unload and re-rig.
Modular Interchangeable Components.
Top beams and trolleys interchange within defined product ranges.
North American Standards.
ASME B30.17, OSHA, CSA B167, and CSA S157. Aluminum welding performed by a company certified by CWB to CSA W47.2.
10-Year Warranty.
OSHA requires a crane to be proof-load tested to 125% of rated capacity before service — an employer obligation eme completes for you: every unit ships with a Certificate of Test, backed by a 10-year warranty across the line.
One System. Multiple Capacities. Fewer Parts to Manage.
eme gantries are built like a modern industrial kit: shared component families, standardized setup logic, and defined compatibility across the line. Crews train faster, fleets stock fewer parts, and buyers can add capacity without learning a completely different equipment system.
The workhorse tonnage tier of the eme line — built for maintenance crews, contractors, utilities, and rental fleets that need serious 2- and 3-tonne capacity with fast deployment.
Heavy-duty aluminum gantries for 5-tonne and 10-tonne lifting. Forklift-assisted assembly while preserving the loaded mobility expected from eme gantries.
Shared setup logic
Train crews once across the line. A standard eme gantry goes together with two bolts per side.
Standardized component families
Reduce spare-parts complexity.
Fleet-friendly architecture
Add capacities without starting from scratch.
Rated configurations
Every crane is matched by model, beam, trolley, and capacity.
Final compatibility depends on the exact model, beam, trolley, and rated capacity. Confirm configuration details on the individual series page or official quote.
A-Frame Aluminum Gantry Cranes
Every eme gantry is an A-frame aluminum gantry crane — two A-shaped end frames carrying a single top beam, light enough to roll while fully loaded and assemble from the ground up with a small crew and standard tools.
The A-frame geometry is what makes the crane portable and free-standing: the angled legs give it lateral stability without a fixed runway or anchored columns, so the gantry rolls into position over the load, does the lift, and breaks down for the next jobsite. Built in aluminum, an A-frame gantry weighs a fraction of an equivalent steel one — see the aluminum vs. steel gantry crane comparison for the weight and cost trade-offs.
Pick the A-frame gantry by the load you lift — from a 1,100 lb 1100 Series up through a 1 ton aluminum gantry crane (2200 Series, 2,200 lb), 2 ton aluminum gantry crane (4400 Series, 4,400 lb), 3 ton aluminum gantry crane (6600 Series, 6,600 lb), 5 ton aluminum gantry crane (11000 Series, 11,000 lb), and a 10 ton aluminum gantry crane (22000 Series, 22,000 lb) — every model rolls under load and shares setup logic across the eme line. Sizing one is a capacity, span and height question — the A-frame lifting device selection guide walks it.
Engineered, Welded, and Load-Tested.
Every eme gantry is engineered to ASME B30.17, with welded aluminum structures produced by a company certified by CWB to CSA W47.2.
Every gantry is proof-load tested to 125% of rated capacity before shipment and ships with a Certificate of Test, so the pre-service proof test is already done and documented on arrival. Each eme gantry design is also proof-load qualified on the engineer-stamped drawing before it enters production — see each model page for its design-qualification detail. The aluminum used is 6061-T6 for proven structural performance — and at the same rated capacity an aluminum gantry weighs far less than a comparable steel gantry, with no painted surface to chip or rust. See the full aluminum vs. steel gantry cranes comparison for the weight, corrosion, and cost trade-offs. Browse the full reference set for the technical details behind each spec.
