The 1100 Series is the lightest portable aluminum gantry in the eme line — 1,100 lb / 500 kg capacity, 1–2 person setup with two wrenches, no facility equipment required. Shares the trolley family with the 2200 and 4400 Series, so crews already trained on those products can deploy the 1100 without learning a different system.

The 1100 Series Standard Model

One standard model on the canonical sheet: the 1100R-8. 1,100 lb / 500 kg rated capacity on an 8 ft standard beam, with the lightest assembled weight in the eme line — easy to load into a service truck or move between sites by hand. Spin the model on the right while you read.

Weights, lift ranges, and dimensions verified against the current eme Aluminum Gantry Crane Spec Summary. Lift range = min/max height to lifting eye. Max height = max top-of-trolley height. Assembled weight excludes the beam trolley (shared with the 2200 and 4400 Series). All cranes tested to 125% of rated capacity prior to shipment.

3D model shown is a 4400 Series — the 1100, 2200, and 4400 share the same aluminum extrusion architecture and external profile. Toggle between raised and lowered, view the anatomy, or play the video.

Where the 1100 earns its keep.

The 1100 Series is the lightest portable aluminum gantry in the line — small enough to throw in the back of a service truck, capable enough for the lifts a one- or two-person crew tackles on a typical day.

Mechanical Room Equipment

Small motors, pumps, valve actuators, and HVAC components in tight mechanical spaces.

Service Truck & Shop

Field-service crews and maintenance shops where the gantry travels with the technician.

Lab & Cleanroom

Light equipment moves where forklifts or facility cranes can't fit or aren't allowed.

Light Industrial Maintenance

Small machinery positioning, conveyor work, and routine plant-floor lifts under 1,100 lb.

Rigging & Equipment Moving

Low-headroom lifts in residential, commercial, and small-industrial settings.

1–2 People. Two Wrenches. Done.

The 1100 Series is built for the smallest crew in the lineup. Two wrenches are the only tools required, no facility equipment is needed, and the gantry assembles from the ground up in minutes. Same setup logic as the rest of the eme line, scaled down for the smallest capacity tier.

1–2 Person Setup

A two-person crew can assemble the 1100R-8 from the ground up — no forklift, no facility equipment, no crane truck.

Two-Wrench Assembly

Standard hand tools only. Grade L9 chromate-plated fasteners; no welding, no specialized equipment.

Rolls While Fully Loaded

Reposition the 1100R with the load on, on suitable level surfaces and in accordance with the operating manual — no need to unload, re-rig, and re-lift between positions.

Shared Trolley Family

The 1100 uses the same trolley family as the 2200 and 4400 Series — train crews once, stock one shelf of spares, and move parts across the small-to-mid capacity tier.

Engineered, Welded, and Load-Tested for North America

Every eme 1100 Series gantry is engineered to ASME B30.17 (cranes and monorails), CSA B167 (overhead travelling cranes), the Aluminum Design Manual (ADM), and CSA S157 (Canadian aluminum structural design). All welded aluminum structure is produced under CSA W47.2 certification — the Canadian Welding Bureau's third-party credential for fusion welding of aluminum. Each 1100 Series design is qualified by a 150% proof-load test documented on the engineer-stamped drawing. Each production unit is then load-tested to 125% of rated capacity before shipment and supplied with a Certificate of Test.
